"Reason" is about the belief that our own ideas are right or correct, or that we are justified or "in the right" in our words or actions. Obviously there are situations where our concepts about right and wrong can be very useful, but often own our perspective can insulate us in our own biases and isolate us from the real world, our true life and those around us.
